Cupid Pepper is a semi-succulent perennial. It grows
to no more than 25 cm in height, with a 65-cm spread. Unlike other
Peperomia, this vine has a climbing or creeping habit. The evergreen
foliage resembles that of Pothos: the fleshy, glossy blades are
heart-shaped. They measure no more than 5 cm. The leaves
are cream-colored at birth. Their centers then turn green. Cupid Pepper
is grown for its leaves. But it also flowers with spikes of white or
greenish flowers. Cupid Pepper is native to S. Mexico to Tropical
America, cultivated worldwide as a house plant.
